I really wish I had internet at home so that I could post more. Instead of going to a friends or internet cafe at a time of day posting is just not on my mind nor do I have that much time for either, Posting is definitly something that comes to me once i'm at home and time to reflect and research. Anyway the image I posted is a screen grab of fashion film that is a will be keeping me occupyed for the next month as I'm hand drawing some animation for it. I also just wanna add that this screen grab is with no treatment and low res and I still love it! I'll be releasing a little taster as soon as possible but the teaser as well as behind the scenes will be released and reviewed in Marie Claire mag.

I love this VIDEO! This is definitly a style of interview I would like to follow but it wouldn't be anything without the amazing content so this is also a shout out to anyone in Jo'burg to please let me know if you see, hear or come across anything of interest. I really want to start interview and creating little docies of content within Africa once I have finally bought my 5D Canon Camera (hopefully this month, woop woop!)

I really can't wait to see if the Grazia SA will fill the gaping gap left from not having my weekly fix in London. I saw Kirsty Stoltz (Fashion Director for Grazia SA) a few days ago as we were both part of the LISOF judging panel for their annual magazine Protege. Kirsty said that the mag was based on Grazia UK as its originally an Italian mag so good news for me! Its going to be a very interesting to see what happens from here.
I holding super high hopes this ones a keeper and I will definitely be buying my copy tomorrow, I hope its not too expensive!
Look at all those happy but a little scared faces. I would be if I was part of the team.
I will be creating a post tomorrow giving a little show and tell.
CAN'T WAIT!!

Suzaan Heyns 2012 - Willem interview

Another series to add to Suzaan's 2012 collection. This an audio of Willem who composed Suzaan's track for her fashion film and runway show. When Editing video's together you can really get bored of the track your using as he have to listen to it on repeat over and over again but Willem"s track did the test of time and I still really like it and I know it inside out now.
The interview was also a funny one and one for the future but next time I will be prepared with a light so you can actually see peoples faces.

Here is the Suzaan Heyns edit I did for MCTV at SAFW 2012 but I will also be adding a few extra bits that didn't get aired on MCTV. There is an audio I did with Willem, Suzaan's Partner and composer of the track created for the show and fashion film. There's also a short interview of Suzaan to talking through her collection and all to be posted this week.

This is a quote I picked out after watching Bill Cunningham's documentary, that's showing at the moment but I not in SA i'm sorry to say. It really hit me hard this documentary and I wasn't to sure why at first but after thinking about nonstop for the past week I have a few conclusions but the main being that Bill Cunningham as an inspirational simple human being that truly does what he does for the love of it! If you haven't seen it yet watch it!

POST VIDEO - Gavin Rajah's full 2012 collection from AFI (Africa Fashion International)

This was a painstakingly long edit to do but well worth it I think as I have just finished it at 10.30pm so i'm suffering from a little square eye right now but the reason why I stuck it out is that I'm going to try and create an archive of the African Fashion Week shows I shoot and really like. This is for the rest of the industry and others who find it interesting and informative. I know there is a serious lack of this material online, hence the birth of POST. I would also really like to hear from anyone who finds it useful! www.gavinrajah.com

I have Finally managed to stick my head into the footage I shot over AFI (Africa Fashion International) for POST. I thought I would start on the first edit I wanted to do from Gavin Rajah's Tea party. Explaining his inspirations and discussing his collection in a very comfortable environment inside and out as you can see from my amazing box of little TARTS to takeaway, Yum!
I was planning on using some of the discussion as inserts in Gavin's runway edit that I'm working on to post over the next few days.

I know Craig Green is slightly old news but probably not in South Africa so to those that haven't heard of him let me introduce you to Craig Green. Asethically it really works for me especially the cap he collobrated with New Era below. I'm drawn to his combination of an animated art sense of fashion. He really blurs the lines between all three areas. I also really want to know how he created that rubbery melted fabric in the first picture below, What is that? Amazingly strange

+ Clive Rundle
+ Black Coffee
And a few others but these are the only I want to host on POST.

I love it when you discover someone for the first time who obviously has been known to so many for so long already, like a really obvious mistake to make or person to miss. I even used some of her images to draw from a few years ago. I don't have the drawings with me right now to post but I do have them at home so i'll post them up in the next few days. I would love to own a print of the picture below so badly!

So the reason why I haven't posted anything in the last week or so, eek! is because I've been busy shooting AFI (Africa Fashion International) Week for Glamour, Marie Claire TV and Pop Africana. There were two shows that stood far apart from rest in my opinion Avant and Gavin Rajah. I'll be posting the edits through out next week but make sure you also check them out on Glamour, Marie Claire and Pop Africana online.

So here are all the show's I want to see at AFI and will be shooting for POST and a few other exciting new jobs! I'm not sure if 'm allowed to unveil who I'll be working for so I'll keep my lips sealed but it does mean that I will definetly be covering AFI and SAFW so you can expect coverage, which was the main reason I started this blog as there is hardly any coverage! I'm not sure what I will be wearing yet but I can gaurentee nothing as exciting as I would like it to be as I'm working and running around with camera in hand. If you do spot me don't be shy!

Wow!!! Mary has really stepped up this LFW. She has already captured most people as well as myself with her interior decor prints on top of interior designed garments. I have to admit I often wondered how far this idea would and could go but Mary has just proofed she's truly mastering her craft and idea. Its such an amazing skill to have to mix extreme colour, crazy patterns and make it work! You can tell that every garment was been heavily considered in its construction leaving beautiful architectural oddity.
